Site For Lee-Jackson. Monument Undecided

Location At St. Paul Street And Greenway No Longer Considered By Committee

A site for the proposed Lee-Jackson memorial at St. Paul street and Greenway no longer is being considered by the committee, Charles Morris Howard, chairman, said yesterday after a meeting.

The site, for a time, was favored as the best procurable for the erection of a monument in memory of the last meeting of Gens. Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. (Stonewall) Jackson, as provided in the will of J. Harry Ferguson,

Mr. Howard indicated the site would be selected at a committee meeting in the near future. Mr. Ferguson left $100,000 for erection of the memorial and named a committee to administer the fund.
