FOR CONFEDERATE MONUMENT

Nearly $4,500 Now Pledged For The Erection of The Shaft.

The Daughters of the Confederacy, whe are to erect a monument to the Confederate soldiers and sailors of Maryland, are progressing with the collecton of funds, and have just issued a report on the subscriptions thus far secured, which is appended. The monument is to be placed at North and Mount Royal avenues. Gen. John Gill, of the Mercantile Trust Company, is the treasurer of the fund.
