Plans For Confederate Monument.

Mayor Hayes yesterday received a letter from Mrs. Thomas B. Gresham, 815 Park avenue, of the Society of the Daughters of the Confederacy, who stated that the society is now prepared to submit plans for the Confederate monument which it is proposed to erect on the triangle at Mount Royal and North avenues.

Mrs. Gresham stated. however, that the state of her health would not permit her to attend a meeting of the Municipal Art Society at the City Hall, but suggested that she would be glad if the members could hold a meeting at her home on any day agreeable to them. Mayor Hayes sent a letter to each member of the commission, asking them if they could meet at Mrs. Gresham’s house.
