Monument To Confederates.

Ladies of Laurel, with the co-operation of Baltimore and Washington ladies, expect to give a theatrical performance at Laurel on September 5 for the benefit of a fund for the erection of a monument to the Maryland Confederate dead. Six society girls have consented to be ushers for the occasion. The chief promoters of the entertainment are Mrs. Francis J. Markoe and Miss Lucylle Duvall Mullikin.
