A monument to the Confederate Women of Maryland will be erected in the triangle formed by Charles street, University Parkway and Thirty-seventh street, to be known as Cathedral Place. This site was agreed upon yesterday afternoon at a meeting of the Art Commission in the Mayor’s reception room at the City Hall.

Two designs for the proposed memorial were submitted by J. Maxwell Miller, the sculptor, but neither was fromally approved. They are to be considered further, it was announced. It is to be a group monument, 23 feet and 4 inches high and standing on a pedestal 12 feet and 4 inches square.
