TEA FOR TEXAS TABLE

Confederate Bazar Workers Also Give An Entertainment.

A tea was given yesterday by Mrs. A. K. Rogers, 120 West Twenty-third street, one of the active members of the Texas table committee of the Confederate bazar. It is estimated that the total net receipts of the recent benefit at the Lyceum given by the Percy Haswell company will amount to about $500.

During the evening there was an entertainment, which included Southern dances and songs. The house was decorated for the occasion in Southern colors. Those taking part in the entertainment were:

Mr. Alfred Conlin, Miss Emma Bartkowska, who recited a Texas poem called “Lasca;” Mrs. George Sadtler, who gave dialect selections and sang a Southern song; Miss Alice Ault and Mr. Harry Collison, who sang a duet; Miss Winifred Heubeck, who gave a recitation; Mrs. WIl-liam H. Aughinbaugh, who introduced gramophone selections, and the pupils of Mrs. N. S. Watson’s class, who gave plantation dances. Refreshments were served.

The chairmen of the committees in charge of the Confederate Monument Fund bazar will meet at the Fifth Regiment Armory at noon today to arrange the decoration of the hall and the various booths. An elaborate color scheme will be worked out, and before the bazar opens, on November 2, It is expected that the hall will be an immense bower of beauty.
