SUMMER VAUDEVILLE

Benefit Of The Baltimore Confederate Monument Fund.

LAUREL, MD., Sept. 5.- The “summer vaudeville” and dance int eh Academy of Music tonight were largely attended and a goodly sum was realized for the Confederate Monument in Baltimore, for the benefit of which the vaudeville was given. The performance was arranged and given under the direction of Mr. Harry Bernard Weeks.

The entertainment included a farce, “The Day Before the Wedding,” in which the cast was composed of Miss Florence Deicher, Miss Grace Daiger, Miss Carrie Rierdan, Messrs. W. A. Bochau, Augustus F. Erich and Harry B. Weeks.

“A Maryland Garden Party” introduced Messrs. Clifton, Eldridge, Erich, Fifer and Misses Annette Garver and Maud Emory in specialties.

The performance concluded with “The Soldiers in the Park,” a military pageant. After this a dance was given, to which the managers of the affair, Miss Lucylle Duvall Mullikin and her sister, Mrs. Francis I. Markoe, had invited only the smart set in Laurel society and friends from Baltimore and. Washington.
