CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL.

Monument Gift of “Daughters” to Be Unveiled in Baltimore.

A gift from the Daughters of the Confederacy of. Baltimore, a statue as a memorial of the valor of the Confederate Army, will be unveiled to-day with appropriate exercises.

The statue, which is nearly fourteen feet high, representing “The Spirit of the Confederacy,” is cast in bronze from the designs by F. Wellington Ruckstuhl, the New York sculptor, State and city officials, delegations from other States and municipalities, the Confederate veterans, the Daughters of the Confederacy, the Baltimore militia and a large number of prominent Southerners in civil and military life will combine to make the occasion one of much interest.

Charles R. Lamb designed the red grand pedestal for the group.
